The Hoosier Model A’s, a car club out of the Anderson, Indiana area, visited our Jasper facility this morning. “We were all very impressed with the magnitude of the facility and what JASPER’s doing,” stated club member Mike Mattingly. There were eleven Model A’s in the group, one of which was recently brought out of a 40-year storage; its engine was remanufactured by JASPER over 50 years ago.
The Ford Model A of 1928 – 1931 was available in a variety of body styles and came equipped with a water-cooled L-head 4-cylinder engine matched with a 3-speed sliding gear manual transmission capable of speeds around 65 mph.
All of the vehicles in this group were awesome examples of a past era that are being preserved for future generations to admire and enjoy. We would once again like to thank the Hoosier Model A’s for their visit.
