Are your road ready?


Helpful Tips & Information:  An average of 13,000 Americans are killed between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, some as a result of unperformed vehicle maintenance, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Each year, neglected maintenance leads to more than 2,600 deaths, nearly 100,000 disabling injuries and more than $2 billion in lost wages, medical expenses and property damage.

Most mechanical failures can be traced to neglected maintenance. For example, the U. S. Department of Transportation reports the leading cause of mechanical breakdown on our nation's highways is overheating, a condition that is easily avoidable. Other deficiencies that are simple to detect include low antifreeze/coolant, worn or loose drive belts and defective cooling system hoses.

Hudson Cars Visit JASPER


Hudsons, Hudsons, Hudsons! Four groups from the H-E-T Club visited the Jasper facility July 23. These three graced our front lawn.

Recently, members of the Hudson, Essex, Terraplane (H-E-T) Club held an International Meet at the nearby French Lick Springs Resort. Their activities included a July 23rd tour of our Jasper remanufacturing facility.

Lunker Lure Gillraker


JASPER Engine sponsored professional fisherman Chad Morgenthaler on modifying the Lunker Lure Gillraker.  In the fall, just as many bass can be found shallow as deep. They relate to different types of structure, but they have the same thing in mind – feed up for the winter months.  Unfortunately, fishing the umbrella rig in and around shallow water structure can create a lot of difficulties and frustration, which has brought about the need for serious bait modification.

Keselowski Wins with JASPER Differential


Brad Keselowski, starting from the pole position, took the win at Kentucky Speedway running a JASPER Differential. This was Keselowski’s second win at the Kentucky track in three years, and it guarantees him a spot in the Chase. Keselowski also started from the pole in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race and finished second. Kyle Busch, running a JASPER 4-Speed Transmission, finished second and third respectively in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races.
